CPU Cant Handle Streaming

Hello all,

I have an AMD 8100 8-Core and during a recent streaming session, the stream got extremely lag ridden and froze until i closed the stream. An error message ran saying that my CPU was running too many lines (something along those lines), so i ended the stream after feeling like my CPU was becoming too stressed.

Mind you, this was after 3 hours of streaming, and i was ending soon. I also want to stream longer in the future and this was a test. It was great up until that point.

So i believe my question here is what are my options to make this work better? Is it worth it to buy a new CPU? Or are there other options available to me?

The rest of my system is as follows;
Raedon RX 480
Gigabyte board (Model 970A-D3P)
8GB Ram (i believe theyre DD3)
and of course Windows 8.1.

If it's happening only during long and arduous sessions, heat is most probable culprit. When was last time you cleaned it up and changed paste under the CPU cooler ?

I actually never have. Im going to look up some guides on this and come back once i get it done. Thanks for the tip!
