CPU compare help

before picking a motherboard i am looking for advice/comparions of the following CPU's

one being an AMD the other Intel

here is the AMD

Oh wow..

Which would you recommend for me. I mainly surf web, and do web programming.
I watch very little movies and about 1hr a week gaming on my system now as well as some photoshop

If thats all you do. Id go with amd. Which is the better price for performance. Far as both manufactures.

But i wouldent buy a fx lineup.

But i would get a MB that supported am3+, right out the box. No bios update required.

But out of those options you gave. Id go with Intel definitely. Unless you wanted to save more money. Both are pricey. Would definitely get a i5 2500k over i7. Then if you dont plan to overclock. I wouldent even get the "k" version, unless price isnt much different.

One thing is for sure though. Nobody, i mean nobody. Here will recommend a "fx" over "i5 or i7"

sweet guys.. thanks for the help I was looking at Intel since the start, but i thought i check out AMD to see what they offered and seems like I5 or I7 is the way to go.

Make sure you get a good cooler for overclocking that 2600k!
