On Newegg.com, CM 212 evo is selling for $25 after rebate while CM 212 plus is selling for $15.

I have a computer with i5-7500 and I do not plan on putting too much load on the pc. At most, I will be playing games like League or streaming videos. The stock cooler right now is doing fine. However, I have Phantek P400 with side window, so it looks kind of bad. I am not even sure if it is worth to spend the money. If I do buy one, which one is more worth it? Evo with better fan for $10 more? or Plus?

Also, I am looking for people who actually bought those coolers and their processes/ difficulties while installing the coolers since this is my first build.

Good coolers just don't get the x shaped mounting thingy pointing the wrong way (watch a video it explains a lot). The difference is maybe 1c so get the cheaper one.

I have two Evo 212 on two separate systems. They work very well and look nice. It was super easy to install. You can't Overclock on stock coolers, I run my I7-6700K at 4.5Ghz all day long on the evo with no issues.

Do you know one that is around 20 dollar that are better than those? I am looking for good looking cooler for less than $30 preferably.

Since I got i5-7500, I am not going to overclock it. So do you think they are worth getting? Also, do you know the noise differences between stock and those coolers?

I can't speak to noise comparisons. But I got an i5-4960, no overclock. I run stock cooler with no problems. Bigger case with three fans, but I was in Florida for two years and never had overheating issues with the stock. If $25 saves you on noise and that matters, upgrade the cooler. But I'd look to putting that money elsewhere if you're on the cusp of getting to a new tier for a different component.

I am actually in South Florida. I can't hear a thing, mainly because I have a CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000. The thing is build like a bank vault. Its actually quite quiet. If your not overclocking, why bother? Stick with the stock cooler. I overclock, so I needed the upgrade.
