My cpu coolers heatsink becomes so incredibly hot it starts to cook the motherboard and shuts the commputer down.

how do i fix this issue?

specs

GTX 770 GPU
AMD 8350 CPU
Generic RAM 8GB
ASUS motherboard M5A97 R2.0
PSU mod xtreme pro 600w
Generic cpu fan
Aerocool Strike-X GT PC CASE

if you tried to overclock your processor with the stock fan that´s the reason why it overheats ...
get decent aftermarket heatsink if you want to overclock such power hungry processor ...
another option would be to undervolt the processor a bit
if you want to achieve decent temperatures with stock fan

while the previous answers are true.. you should ask yourself why its getting so hot.
You say "generic CPU fan".. so it not even the manufacturers default?
That may well be your problem.. but if its is the Manufacturers standard.. it should be adequate.
As long as you not overclocked etc...
And ofc.. we are presuming you have decent airflow - and your coolers is not all clogged up with dust etc.

Cheers

the fan i'm using is; Alpine 11 Rev.2

the fans i'm using are 2 intake fans which are corsair. and 2 exhuast fans which are areocool. the case insaie, has alot of cold air from these fans. the cpu fan is the only thing inside the case that feels hot. everything else is cool.

for a week i have researched and researched about my issue. most people say it's the airflow, when it can't be becausew it's ice cold inside. the fans are going as fast as they can. others say the cpu fan is dusty. i have spring cleaned it twice still issue is here. i've wiped off all old thermal paste, applied new thermal paste and still issue is here.

i'm going nuts trying to figure out what is wrong.

so your saying my cpu fan will not keep the cpu cool enough?

I have this fan in mind; Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

will it fit in my case; Aerocool Strike-X

Height limit for CPU coolers ( Without side fan ): 158mm

It looks 0.5mm too tall.

I've used it (see 5GHz validtions). It's more than adequate for stock operation of the FX-8350. For overclocking, use the slightly wider TPC-812 that has two more heat pipes and wider fins. cadaveca at techpowerup uses the TPC-812 as his reference cooler for all reviews.

is there any english sellers of these coolers? all from america

It worked! no more overheating issues! you sir should pat yourself on your back ;]]

thank you!!
