CPU cooler fan question

I recently purchased a Cooler Master Hyper 101i CPU Cooler. The fan that comes with the system is a clip-on attached to the heatsink. I purchased a Nocturna NF-R8 to replace the stock fan not realizing the cooling system fan was clip-on. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to attach the Nocturna, which is the same size and dimensions, to the CPU heatsink using zip-ties or something similar. Any advice on this proposed set up would be greatly appreciated

I once had a custom heat sink fan attached with a string that I tied between the heat sink blades. Not sure I can recommend doing that, but it definitely worked like a charm. 😀
