CPU cooler for Spec-01

So i bought the Corsair Spec-01 case a while back for my future pc build,
I planned to use the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo CPU aftermarket cooler with the Spec-01 case based on how popular it is but didn't realize it wasn't compatible with the case until after i bought it.
So i was wondering what aftermarket CPU cooler I could get instead of the CM hyper 212 evo cooler for under 40$? Im going to use a fx-8320 CPU and am planning to overclock it

I was hoping for a cpu cooler for 40$ or under, is there any you would recommend in the price range with similar or better performance then the cooler master cpu cooler?

Because of the small width on the case you are very limited.

Get the cooler master hyper 212 evo it will fit in the case the side of the case is bulged so after installing the hyper 212 evo you will have half an inch of clearance left the site will say that its doesn't fit but actually it does i have tested with spec 2 case.

All is not lost though as the Spec-01 can take tower coolers up to 153mm in height, which still leaves a fair few on the shelf for you to choose from. The absence of the rear extract fan and the off set roof fan mounts though do suggest that Corsair may be envisaging that you will be finding alternate means to cool your CPU.

Yea i noticed there was only one fan that came with the case so i was going to buy a few corsair SP120 fans to help with the cooling, but what aftermarket cpu cooler would you personally recommend with this case that is under my budget?

I was a bit mistaken,but the zalman cnps10 extreme from the second link is 160mm high so cannot be used.My apologies.

The spec 02 case is bigger. I have the spec 01, and a now boxed 212 evo because it doesn't fit, sort of fits when blowing air to rear exhaust but 1 of the pins slightly touches the window edge (not a part in sight) and makes the side panel bulge out, enough in my opinion to worry me. So I removed it. Now to the original poster, the Zalman CNPS10 Performa would seem the next best bet. Same price, slightly lower performance by a few degrees but its also smaller, not by much, but enough to fit it blowing to rear exhaust.
