Hi,

I've recently decided to buy my first gaming pc and decided to build it myself. All is going well until I try install my CPU cooler. It looks like my cooler is to slim to fit my motherboard. As I'm new to this I've got absolutely zero clue how this all works. I've attached an imgur album with what is wrong and my motherboard + cpu cooler
Thanks in advance,
EagleStrike

Seems like you're using an Intel mounting bracket for an AMD motherboard, or vice versa. Your cooler should come with a different mounting bracket for the other type of motherboard.
That's what I figured at first aswell so I took another look. I've double checked the manual for the cooler but I am using the AM4 brackets. The brackets themselves fit as you would expect, except when you put them on the cooler they don't fit anymore.

Maybe the cooler is to small?

Judging by pictures, you should be using right bracket adapter in the second picture.
Which exact cooler is that ?
