Question CPU Core Problem

My computer has a 6-core CPU, the AMD fx-6300 Now, I know that windows task manager should say that this is actually 3 cores, 6 logical processors, which should be correct. Actually, it says 3 core, and 3 logical processors. I noticed this recently, and in the past it has said the before mentioned 3-6 combo. Is this a BIOS problem? I'm wondering why my CPU is not being used to its full potential. Is there any way I can test if all cores are working? I'd really like to know why this is happening...

I have used CPUZ and it says the same thing in task manager 3 cores and 3 threads

I have been having trouble with my CPU with the cores and logical cores. It used to say i had 3 cores and 6 logical processors. Now it has went to 3 cores and 3 logical processors. I tired resetting CMOS and that did not work or i did not do it right.
