when I start up my coputer before it will start I get "CPU fan error!" and then I have to go into the bios to look at settings and the CPU fan speed bar is red... I downloaded speedfan and the CPU fan is changing speeds as the CPU tamperature changes (the fan is indeed spinning). when I use my computer for normal stuff the CPU is around 60c-65c, is that too hot?

Im worried when I install games its going to be too taxing on the CPU and burn up

how hot can I safely run my CPU? do I need to get a new CPU fan? if so can I buy just the fan or do I need to get a whole 212 kit again? am I damaging my computer by running it?

Depends on which CPU you have. Most CPUs will work fine at 80C TJ, though probably nobody here would recommend intentionally letting it stay that high indefinitely. Below 70C there should be no imminent problems but most prefer keeping things around 60C or lower if realistically possible within budget.

maybe I should give my system specs

CPU - i7 3930k
MEMORY - 64gb 1333 Gskill (8x8gb) running in quad channel
GPU - gtx 560ti (2 of them SLI together)
MOBO - p9x79 pro
PS - AX 1200 gold
HDD - 256gb SSD (corsair)
COOLER - Hyper 212+

how hot can I let my CPU get as a spike (it spikes to 75 sometimes) How hot should I let it average?
