Hello, my cpu fan is really loud is it cause of the cpu or because of the cpu cooler? I have not switched the thermal paste ever and the pc is almost 7 years old, should i just switch the thermal paste and use the same cooler or buy a new cpu cooler? My cpu is i5-3350p 3.1Ghz

Have you ever cleanned the internals of your CASE?, Dust and hair populate case internals so you should and try to clean it or ask someone who knows to help you out.
Also yes, once the case is clean you could try replacing the thermal paste with new one (cleaning the old one first, there are thousands of vids on youtube about it). You dont need anything fancy Deep Cool Z5 or similar will do the work just fine.

If the cooler is properly sitted on the CPU, then yes, cause after 7 years of use, the fan can wear out and it may need a replacement.

But I will start with a good cleaning first, you could also try and add some non-conductive lubricant to the fan motor, and spin it with your hand, gently, to take off all the dust and hair that may be in it. After that add some more lubricant and try it out.

Once again, please if your not sure what your doing, ask someone with expertise to help you out, and always turn off your PC and unplugged it from the power wall socket. Never do anything inside your case without removing the power cable from the wall !!!

Do you recommend a certain cpu cooler or should i just buy a cpu cooler for like 27 euros?

First remate your CPU cooler with good thermal paste. Next blow it out with a can of air.

If that doesn't make it run like it used to, then it's possible that your heat pipes have gone bad. (If you have heat pipes)

For a good cheap generic replacement, nothing beats a cooler master Hyper 212 (Evo). But only do so if you have the case clearance height wise. It's what I used on my 3770K. (FCLGA1155 socket). But wait for a sale. They are commonly on sale < $30

Just try to clean evrything up first, and apply new thermal paste.

If still facing problems, and youre not afraid of buying from AliExpress, this is a very good budget option (almost equal if not better than hyper 212 evo): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/329...hweb0_0,searchweb201602_10,searchweb201603_53

Heres a few reviews for that cooler:

Other cheaper option from a well known brand:
DeepCool Gammaxx 200: http://www.deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2013-12/7_471.shtml
DeppCool Gammaxx 300: http://www.deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2013-12/7_481.shtml

Any of the above, or the Hyper 212 Evo named by digitalgriffin will be more than enough for your CPU.

Cheers !
