CPU fan will not turn on (brand new build)

Hi! So I've already made a forum about this and I have come to the conclusion that the fan not turning on seems to be the problem for me. I have never used any of these components before (brand new parts... tried building it last night and couldn't get it finished because of this reason.

What I have tried:
-Plugging into another system fan port on the mobo... yes the fan did turn on but will not turn on for another one of the system fan ports or for the cpu fan header port.
-Unplugging and replugging multiple times
-Unplugging all ports and removing motherboard and reinstalling it.
-Uninstalling RAM and reinstalling...
-Trying to boot with only CPU, PSU and RAM. Still nothing

I am not able to even get to the BIOS (no signal to the monitor)...

I am pretty sure the problem is that the CPU fan header is dead (no idea how since it's a brand new board) but I want to know if there is anything else I can try... Thanks!

Please give a full and detailed system specs list, it helps a lot!

The fan headers are one of the simplest parts on the motherboard and powers immediately when power is turned on, if the fan isn't turning on even for a second, and you know the fan otherwise works, pull the motherboard out and return it. Simple as that.

Sorry, can't believe I forgot to put that in xD

CPU: Intel Core i5 6500 (using the stock cooler)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B150 G1.Sniper B7
RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR4
(I got the cpu mobo and ram in a bundle deal online)
GPU: I have not installed one yet (bought it online and it's still on its way [Sapphire Tri-X OC r9 290], but I wanted to at least install everything on the PC)
PSU: EVGA supernova 750w
SSD: Samsung 650 series
Case: Old one that my parents were about to throw out (it has a slot for a floppy disk xD)
HDD: Also an old one but I haven't tried installing it yet...
Optical Drives: Also old ones from my parents old PC xD

That's what I would have thought but I bought it online.. sending it back would be a headache in itself xD just seeing if this was an actual problem for motherboards or if I'm just being an idiot

Ok looking at that spec list and the other info you've given, everything points towards a faulty fan header on the motherboard. Time to RMA it Im afraid!

Damn xD that sucks considering its my first build and something's already going wrong lol

Ah well, just found out the online store I bought my stuff from is only about 30 minutes away from where I live so I can just drive there tomorrow or something... Thanks bro
