Recently I started to have a problem with my (4 year old) stock cpu cooler. When I start the computer, the fan might not spin at all but twitching. Looks like it tries to spin. So what I do is I restart the computer, if that doesn't help I unplug the 4pin from the header and simply put it back and then it works normal again. But I wonder why I have to unplug and plug back almost everytime for it to work? Is the problem in the cooler or somewhere else? I have i7-3770.

That cooler is dying. Replace it immediatly: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

Will that cooler fit on a micro atx board? I have full atx tower thou.

Id depends on the width of teh case. It will fit most cases. It's best to make a build on pcpartpickes with the cooler and case you intend to buy and the site will either tell you it lacks data(rarely) or confirm that it will fit by declaring a passed compatibility check.

A quick update: the cpu fan no longer works on the cpu_fan header. I does work on cha_fan1. I am now using my case fans on my cpu_fan header. I guess the problem has to be in the cpu cooler then?

Obviously. I would not push the CPU in teh config you have now!
