[SOLVED] CPU getting hot abnormally fast.

MPG x570 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 3700x 8-core (currently using stock prism wraith cooler)
AMD Radeon 5700 xt
4 case fans (2 intake 2 outtake)


I recently build my first PC, with some expertise help. I noticed my temps reaching upwards of 90 Celcius a couple days after using the PC. I did some digging and make sure I had MOBO, chipset, and gpu drivers up to date. I upped fan curves as well in the BIOS. The highest it gets now if around 86-87 celcius and sits at a low of 75. It seemed a little hot still so I touched base with some buddies and they said I should have enough airflow. So was wondering if there are any other steps I can take to help reduce cooling (with or without upgrading hardware).

Are you sure the cooler is on correctly? The little push handle pushed down far enough? It's a mistake I've seen someone else make before.

You don't have to do that, but if you do that you might get an issue with the thermal paste. You can just see if it's on properly without taking it off.

Yeah before I got that far I noticed that the push handle was indeed not down all the way, no issues now. Thank you so much!

Wouldn't surprise me if it's a common mistake . No problem
