CPU getting put down to 2.91ghz

Is there any reason why my fx8320 is getting put down to 2.91ghz.
Ive heard it may be my motherboard, second opinions and help please?

Motherboard: GA-78LMT-S2P
PSU: 650W
GPU: MSI N760

It supports it with a BIOS update.

Thank you for your answers, i looked it up a bit more apparently my motherboard gives a 95w power outage to my CPU when it needs 125w.
So looks like i need a new motherboard as this one is bottle necking my current CPU.
Last thing someone needs when they've just setup there rig draining all there money 😛

My next question is, will my current setup with the bottle necking affect any life in any of my parts as i wont be getting a motherboard for a while.

I've updated my BIOS to the f4a version which i believe is the latest?
I did look it up before i got the motherboard and it does support my CPU but apparently now it doesn't give enough power to my CPU

its rev. 5.x by the way not allowing me to get the f5a bios version making it go at stock speed

Huh, I looked it up and saw 125w, but apparently that website was wrong. You do need a new motherboard.
