CPU/Graphics Problems

Hello all. I'm having problems with my newly built pc. Here's my current issue. When running graphics-intensive applications (games, etc),
the system either freezes or shuts down the application. 3DMark06 CPU tests show 0 or 1 fps and in triangle tests the first couple are bad
as well, 1 or 2 fps. Everything else (all the graphics tests) looked fine as far as I could tell. I'm trying to run the pc on manufacturer settings and not overclock (I know, I'm posting in the OC forum but hope to get better help here). Can I get some help on settings for my CPU problem? I'm also looking for tips on other BIOS settings as well. Here's my setup and readings with CPU-Z and Asus Probe II, with my BIOS settings as well. Thanks in advance for the help.

Right off it looks like your mem settings don't jive with your SPD.

Your SPD says you should be running at 7-7-7-20 1.5V.

Your RAM seems to be at 9-9-9-24 1.66V.

Also, check your temps with Real Temp to make sure the CPU is in range.

while i doubt it is the ram an easy test is to take one out at a time. even if the ratio isn't right it wouldn't make a high end system fall under 3dmark 06

i would say GPU drivers they could be corrupted in the wrong place what ever i don't know. if the system runs just doesn't game that the stress or the load on the hard ware would be the problem. i would say one of 2 things if it boots then it probably isn't bios. i could be drivers tho. if your drivers have errors it can be hard to find untill you hit the error right on the head if you know what i mean...

also i sounds like it could (possibly coming from a driver problem) is a heating issue. if your GPU is overheating it could be slowing down to save itself....

i would go to places like newegg and read the 1 2 and 3 star reviews of your hardware find the common problems, think logically if that is a possibility, and test to see if it is.

Thanks for giving me hope lol... Well I'm almost sure it's not the RAM as well. the settings are correct for this ram. btw updated the links. I did memtest and tried w/ a set of OCZ. I installed all the drivers from their manufacturer web sites and they are all up to date. dont know what more i could do. i posted on overclockers.net here http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/397025-cpu-graphics-problem-please-help.html where I'm told it could be a heatsink issue as well. I'm going to run a few cpu tests and let you all know the results. thanks for responding!
