Question Cpu has too much wattage

So I recently upgraded my cpu but I think it is taking too much wattage in, I have the Fx-6300 before and now I have the Fx-8350 and now when I play high graphic games my computer just shuts off out of no where. I thought it was due to the temps but they stay good the whole time so I think my cpu might be taking in too much wattage and I need help on underclocking it possibly.

These are my parts
Power supply: EVGA- 500W 80+ certified.
CPU: Fx-8350
Motherboard: Gigabyte-GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

If you can give me some idea as to what the problem is or advice on how to underclock it to specific voltages, all is appreciated!

So yea if that EVGA is the B1 or W1 then it's not really a good PSU for a gaming system that has the RX 580.
