CPU heat went up by a lot of degrees for nothing?

So I was away from home for 2 days, on Friday my temperatures were about 38-43 idle.
Came back on Sunday and temperatures were 58-64 idle.

No one touched my computer, no one did anything. Temperature should be the same in the room.

Why?

cooler paste could have been dry out due to high temp around also check if you cpu cooler fans spin up when temp raise .

It wasn't on. No background programs.

Yes, they go from 1700 rpm to 2700 rpm.

That's debatable, at best...; I had desktop systems 12 years ago that had been on for months on end without issue...; only turned them off to shave $50 /month off my electric bill , as crunching SETI units did not seem 'worth it' if I was literally paying for it.
