Question CPU Heatsink "screwhole" missing!?

Hi guys,

I´ve bought a asus p9x79 mainboard from ebay.

Now after a few months I´ve bought a case and cpu cooler to build a small server with it.
When I realized that there are two "screws" missing, which I need to install the cpu cooler correctly.



Are there any parts ("screws") I can buy to solve this problem or is the mainboard "broken"?

More than missing I think.

The red circled holes appear as if the connectors were ripped out.

I would send the mainboard (motherboard) back to the seller.

Who knows what else may have happened to that motherboard...

That is absolutely "broken".
But, 'after a few months '...your return/refund options may be limited.

I think you are out of luck for a return. You might have some luck taking the board to a qualified computer repair service and see if they have any ideas.

"screws" missing

Depends on how much work you want to put into the board. And like said above is this the only damage!

Don't think the hole blowouts are taking out any junctions or broke any traces. Moving forward it depend on CPU cooler your going to use and it's bolts & nuts back plates or not. And or a trip to a hobby shop.

Seller didn't seem to let buyer know about his F-up he did so It's your now. If your mechanically inclined you could waste a Saturday on it and It just might work/ might not. But it's yours now.

Maybe you could look on someplace like ebay for a "parts only" board like yours (or probably any X79) to get those posts. Example
