I have a Ryzen 5700X with a B550 Tomahawk mobo that I built about 2 months ago. I recently installed an AIO and since then my CPU light is on red. The pc will eventually boot however, it takes a few minutes but seems to run fine. except for the cpu fan is going full speed.

I was able to get into the bios and it shows that my cpu temp is 0 and it looks like i dont have any fans or pumps connected. however my aio pump is connected and is definately working. Using ryzen master i see the temps and they appear to be fine. I ordered a new cpu but is the problem going to be my motherboard instead?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Is this your motherboard;

?

If so, download the latest BIOS from here;
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK/support#bios
then proceed with the steps outlined in this guide;

If you want to rule out your processor, you could've dropped the processor onto a known working motherboard with the appropriate BIOS version to see if you're able to get POST without a hiccup. You could conversely drop in a processor that's known working (sourced from a friend, not bought)

My pc worked fine until a week ago and when it does post it works fine . the motherboard says no fans are connected but they are all running full blast. Would i need to flash my bios. I didnt change anything.

Make sure bios is latest version

Make sure the pump wire is connected to the appropriate pin header named pump and the wire for fans for CPU
