Cpu max temp too high?

I just launched up my computer and my max temp is 68 degrees is this normal??

CPU: I7 7700k

68c idle? No not ideal. 68c under full load is fine depending on the CPU.

It is if you are running something that uses the processor significantly.

It isn't if you are not.

Its 68 Celsius but could it be this high because of all the things that are starting up on launch?

Maybe....but it shouldn't STAY that high if you aren't running anything major.

no it never stays that high it only reaches that high for about not even a second?

It should be around 25-40 when it's just sitting. Those are BALLPARK numbers....but around there.

ohh yes good I was hoping so bad that it was normal yes I run at about 32-45c

Most people seem to start getting concerned above 80C.....and I would too....so you pretty much just want to stay below that.

....and when I say above 80C, I mean continuously....not a brief spike.
