Is this a good deal?

Intel Core i7-13700K, ASUS Z790-P Prime WiFi DDR5, G.Skill 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit, Computer Build Bundle

Price: $550
CPU- Intel I7-13700k
Motherboard: ASUS G790-P Prime
Ram: 32 GB Gskill RipJaws

Buying parts alone, it saves $175

If I follow the advice from the Tom’s Hardware $1500 build it would have me spend $550 on the following:
I5-13600k
Gigabyte Z790 UD AX
TeamGroup Vulcan 32GB DDR5

So it looks like I basically get a better processor for the same price.
To me the unknown is the Motherboard.
Is the Gigabyte that much better to warrant using a lower cost CPU?

Of all the components I’m always most confused by the motherboard.
There are so many and such different prices.

I’m looking to build a new Gaming/Home computer that will last 12 years. Only plan on replacing GPU and maybe adding more RAM in that time frame.

For reference my last build on top of an overclocked I5-2500k from Dec 2011 is still going strong.
Will make that my homes 2nd PC.

Thoughts?

Both motherboards are pretty much the cheapest Z790 the respective companies use so as long as the IO is fine for your use on Asus there'd be no disadvantage there. The DRAM is a potential question because not all kits are equal and unless you're getting Hynix die you cannot guarantee you could tweak to match the differences though I doubt that kit is any worse than the one from the Tom's guide here.
