What should the approx. CPU and Mobo temperatures be for the following system idling in Win XP Prof.
Intel P4 2.4GHz 800MHz FSB Hyperthreading (stock cooling)
ASUS P4P800 Motherboard (BIOS revision 1008)
Samsung PC3200 DDR Dual Channel Ram (2x 256MB)
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Western Digital 40GB 7200RPM Harddisk
Samsung DVD Drive
Samsung CDRW/CDR Drive
Enermax 400Watt PS
AOpen H600B Case
Slot fan, chassis fan, stock cpu fan, 2x PS fans
The system is neat and tidy inside to allow for smooth airflow. Right now the sytem is running at about 42C CPU and 35C Mobo. Are these normal temperatures? Are they low enough to allow some margin to overclock (thus an increase in heat)?
Thanks
