[SOLVED] CPU not reducing speed when temperatures above 90 degree celsius

Hi,
I just purchased an HP Omen laptop with AMD Ryzen 5800H and RTX 3060 GPU.
I had a bad time dealing with the unstable drivers that come with the laptop. They were creating a lot of problems.
Therefore, I downloaded AMD drivers from AMD website (AMD Adrenaline edition) and the Nvidia driver from GeForce Experience.
What I have noticed is that when temperatures go beyond 90 degrees Celsius, then the processor continues to operate at 4GHz and does not reduce its speed or frequency to lower the temperatures.
It does lower down but only after gaming for prolonged duration. But again comes up to 4 GHz speed after some time. I monitor that the temperatures are still 90 degrees or above at that point as well.
Is this a normal behaviour from this CPU? Is there any way that I can make the CPU lower its speed so that temperatures can be controlled below 90 degrees Celsius?
Thanks!

Go into bios and see if there is a setting for max or target temp.
Otherwise you can use ryzen master or throttlestop from within windows to set maximum power or clocks the cpu can use.

As already said, your cpu can work up to 100 degrees (105 to be exact)

Thank you so much for your reply.
Unfortunately, I installed Ryzen Master but my processor is not supported.
I understand that the CPU can work up to 100-105 degrees. I saw the tech specifications of this processor and, indeed, it can handle up to 105 degree Celsius.
So is 90-95 degrees a safe zone for the processor when playing games for extended durations? I read somewhere that anything above 90 degrees can damage the processor. Is that true?
