Question cpu overheat while playing games after fan replacement

I've been looking and I can't find anything to fix my problem. my laptop was about 1 year old when the bearing went bad on my fan. i replaced it and I noticed it wasn't running as fast as it should've been. I started looking and heard I needed to reset my bios settings. I did it and the fan ran like it was supposed to. i noticed while playing a game that I was getting bad fps drops and looked at the temp of my CPU and It was at around 85 celsius. any way anybody who can help?

some of your options

• vacuum out the exhaust ports and remove any dust bunnies
• you can spend a few bucks for a laptop cooling pad
• you can remove the cooler and apply new thermal paste

I've had the fan for about a month I don't think it will have any dust bunnies.
I have electrical tape under my laptop so it's not a stand but it works.
the cooler dad pre applied thermal paste.
