So I have had this CPU for around 6 years now and as of last week games have started crashing alot. Downloaded Core Temps and CPU can get as hot as 100+ degrees and will usually sit around 90 degrees underload. My first thought was thermal paste, so I reapplied that and still the hot temperatures persist. I have never changed the cooling for the CPU or air intake fans and it has not been a problem for 6 years so I don't think that can be the issue. Could the CPU just be at the end of its lifespan, It has been heavily used over the years.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

Edit: all parts are around 6 years old:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
CPU cooler: stock cooler
Motherboard: ASU’s tuff gaming b450
Ram: 32gb Corsair vengeance
SSD/HDD: 1tb HDD and m.2 500gb (can’t remember make)
GPU: RTX 2060
PSU: Corsair gold 650W (can’t remember exact model)

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
