So, first time posting here, sorry for my bad english in advance. Now lets get to the problem.
- I upgraded to FX-8350, and i noticed that the cpu socket goes up to 75-78c when i play a game like CS GO or any other one, only Splinter Cell : Blacklist i noticed to go up to 80c and even my computer crashed without even bsod or anything. Just restarted, but i had to wait around 30 secs for "Starting windows" to appear.

So now to the question, are these temps normal for idle? (Talking about all temps on the picture, cpu, sockets, mo-bo, auxillary. btw auxillary sometimes jumps to 120c for no reason. )

Thanks a lot in advance, have a good day.

Solution

stock coolers are very bad , try another aftermarket cooler , like coolermaster hyper 212 evo
Uh..that is pretty hot for Idle. First off are you using a CPU Cooler? If not..You should probably get on that before your entire CPU burns out. If you do, did you wipe off the thermal paste from the previous cooler so that the new paste was on the chip? And lastly, did you do any overclocking. If you can, try going in your BIOS and underclocking your card (Less voltage, less Multiplier). That could help.

If you aren't using a heatsink then your really lucky you didn't fry your chip. If you are, check to the thermal paste, sometimes to much thermal paste doesn't actually allow heat to transfer and pretty much make a heatsink and fan useless. Let us know, and if there is not a fan ontop your chip, DO NO TURN YOUR COMPUTER BACK ON lol

One computer services company close to our home did all the work on processor and gpu and etc. I don't have an idea how to do all of these things.

Its actually really not that hard. And quick before you do that, did you check to make sure the fan ontop the heatsink is spinning? There will be two clips on the processor holding the fan and heatsink down, once those are undone the heatsink will come off while leaving the chip stuck in the socket. Take a papertowl and CAREFULLY wipe the excess grease away. Get articsilver or comparable thermal grease and apply a grape or smaller size dot ontop the CPU and smush the Heatsink back on. clip it, plug in fan and see if that lowers it.

Tried both with aida, also hwinfo, same thing. Now, for the people above, i checked my computer, there are 2 F9 sinks ( or whatever you call them ), behind the stock cooler. Nothing else

Solution

Yea, i was going to, thanks at least for the little push, i was kind of unsure if to buy or not.

One last question, hope somebody answers, when i get the new cooler, will i get better fps in games ? Cpu socket is at 78-79 at load, so lets say it goes to maybe 60-65, will it have effect on fps ?

probably not , will probably will have only less stuttering . btw that temp on load it can´t be right , you´ve some thing bad installed , you probably don´t installed well the cooler , anyway stock cooler´s suck a lot . with the hyper 212 you go to like 30º on idle and 55 on load .

make sure that you will install well the aftermarket cooler , just put a little amount of thermal paste , like a pea on the center

Maybe the computer service will do it because i can't do well with hardware stuff... Will see. Thanks
