CPU spikes when starting a movie

I have intel core i5 7600K,when I first build my pc it had no problems with this but then I wanted to try the proccesor's video encoder to see is it worth it,so I strated the integrated graphics.Streaming with the encoder wasn't good so I stopped it then I tried it once again to try some settings but it did not fixed the laggy stream.I had this issue with the first starting of the IGD,now it is disabled but the issue isn't fixing.

PS. CPU spike to about 30% and the whole PC is lagging and when te movie is fully loaded it stops.I have RX 480 8GB

you dont have any gpu in the system only the internal video chipset on cpu that is why you cpu need to work harder to get the video on amd made system lag .

I used browser based cryptominer 3 months ago but I recently reinstalled my windows and stopped using anything related to cryptomining.Do I need to clear my browser?
The CPU spikes when I use other movie players like VLC,MPC-HC, it does not happen when I use the integrated one in windows 10

i would do a full clean up of browser and reinstall them should not spikes using vlc that means gpu have a issue .

You might have residual 'gifts' now hatched/hidden in the OS related to the mining...

ANy mysterious processes in task manager?

Try a quick pass with Malwarebytes Antimalware..

This issue happnes often but not every single time.When I Close the browser or windows explorer after time the CPU spikes again.And I don't know why.Maybe the CPU is fucked up

When I reinstalled my windows 10 I stopped using everything releated to the mining and there are no strange processes in task manager.When the CPU spikes when opening movies or google chrome restarting the PC fixes it and it doesn't happen till the next PC startup.

i would use glary utilities and check what goes on at start up and disable all auto update sofware except the microsoft one also check in win if the p to p is not on for system update .

I think the problem is the Radeon Setting because when I try to open the overlay in games it doesn't open and the PC is unusable for 10 seconds.When I stop the radeon settings,multiplayer games starts loading faster and I have better FPS

check that radeon if you load the one for your os suport like 32 or 64 .
