Im not really good at pc so i decided to ask here before going to a pc tech so that i will have initial knowledge on it, my problem is my pc hang or freeze whenever i put the side cover closing the pc but when i removed it leaving the side open i can use it without any problem at all. What could be the problem?
OS - Windows 7
Procie - Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz
Mobo - ASUS P8H61-M LE
RAM - 8gb ddr3 1333 Mhz
GPU - Radeon HD 5450 planning to replace this-NVIDIA Geforce GTS 450 or higher
HDD - 160 gb samsung
Case - Phantom X white
PSU - 700W

That is so unnecessary for an I3-2100 and those Intel stock coolers are perfectly sufficient. And how can you recommend an expensive cooler without knowing his temps?

Bc he linked his temps, there 102...
And also I read a lot of reviews about stock coolers from the ppl that bought them at newegg...

No that's the TJ max. His temps are at about 40C.

How about changing thermal paste? would it do any good? I am using a deep cool cpu cooler as i can see it because the side of the pc is open still i can use it 100% but not when putting the side cover on, closing the pc it hangs and freeze.
Is it ok to use 500w pc avr for 700w psu????

Im just looking for any initial problem you might think of. Thank you for informations and reply.
