CPU temp idling between 60 and 75 degrees

Hello all. I am looking for help diagnosing an overheating issue. According to Piriform's Speccy tool, my CPU is idling between 60 and 75 degrees. When I have multiple tabs open in Chrome, playing a game, or installing / uninstalling programs, this temperature will shoot up to anywhere from 80 to 95 degrees.
My specs are as follows:
CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ Brisbane 65nm Technology
RAM:
5.00GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 312MHz (5-5-5-15)
Motherboard:
OEM_MB NARRA3 (Socket AM2 )
Graphics:
HP w1907 (1024x768@60Hz)
1024MB ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series (Diamond)

you have a pretty old system. It may be time to change thermal paste or check if your CPU cooler is working properly (check fan spin) clean your PC? of dust.

possibly need a new CPU cooler in worst case

^Thanks for the tip. Fan is working properly, I dusted it out and all that. I didn't have the thermal paste, that should arrive in the mail between Nov 4th and 7th.

Looks like it may have been that thermal paste. It's now hovering between 55 and 60 degrees. Thanks for your time, dude.
