CPU temperature reaching 83 at gaming

hello , i have a i5 2500 with stock cooler and thermal paste aplied when playing videogames i hit max 83c is this normal? my case is very basic and generic it has 1 tiny fan in the back like 6cm or so.

on iddle my temperature is 39c max (running web browser youtube,etc)

should i buy a case with more fans or a aftermath cooler what do you think?

will my cpu survive a couple of months until i can buy case/cooler?

You are ok for now.
The cpu will slow down or shut off at the danger point which is about 100c.

Take your case covers off and see how much that helps.
If it helps a bunch, look for a better case cooling solution.

The stock Intel cooler can be tricky to install.
A poor installation will result in higher cpu temperatures.
If properly mounted, you should expect temperatures at idle to be 10-15c. over ambient.

Check to see that the cooler will not wiggle if you nudge it.
Check that all 4 pushpins are through the motherboard and locked.

cant be on iddle at 10 15 my case only have 1 tiny fan and the stock cooler doesnt make miracles

The stock cooler will do the job, just so long as you give it fresh air to work with.
What is the make/model of your case?
One can always replace a small fan with a stronger one, but at the cost of more noise.

it only have two small places in the back to put 2 tiny fans 6cm or so. i dont think it have a model its generic that came with a core 2 duo in 2008

you mean adding the other extra 6cm fan? i suppose it would help a little, i would buy a better cooler but my case is so damm ugly i feel so bad...

So kill 3x birds with 1x stone. Buy a new case. This'll solve the issue of looks, you'll buy something you like and are happy with. Most cases nowadays come with at least a 120mm fan at intake/exhaust, and have room for at least 1-3 more fans. 120mm fans are relatively easy to find and are generally very cheap. Good luck finding a 60mm fan that'll actually move any air at a decent audible volume.
A 120/140mm fan at intake and a 120/140mm fan at exhaust will drop your cpu temps at load by as much as 20°C over what you are seeing now.
