HI I have a lenovo h50-55 with an amd a10 7800 3.5ghz and 12gb of ram with msi r7 240.
I just checked and my cpu temps were hitting 80 degrees celcius in idle, not even in a game. I was wondering if this could damage cpu? if so is there a way to check if it has been damaged. I haven't overclocked.
Plz help

Thanks

At Idle this is extremely bad, I can't imagine how hot it gets when under small load. Not sure if you can check for cpu damage rather than odd glitches but I would recommend getting a new CPU cooler or Reapply thermal paste.

everything is very clean. I just bought this computer this summer and there is no aftermarket heatsink.

can you tell us the rest of the specs? psu in particular

sometimes with a prebuild pc, who assembles could forget to apply thermal paste or install the heatsink properly

can you share pictures of the heatsink and mainboard in general?

my current computer I have to use to post this wont let me take pictures but I know that the power supply is 180 watts. I am currently looking and my motherboard looks undamaged but here is my computer http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-desktop-amd-a10-series-12gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive-black/4362103.p?skuId=4362103

I also just looked and the fan is working properly
