hello folks im wondering on the temps that i have on a Abit AV8 motherboard and a AMD 64 3800+ with a stock fan, my temp is reading between 62 and 65 cels or 144 f , is that temp alright , the com is working fine , i just now put a temp monitor on the system and im wondering if that is normal temps for that brand.

Thanks...........................Mr. Midnight

Are you overclocking ?
Is your case properly ventilated ?
What core is your CPU based on ?
What is your room ambiant temperature ?
Where are you getting your temperature readings from ?
Where those reading taken when your CPU was idle or under load ?

At first glance, those temps are very high even for a CPU under stock cooling but it still is within the CPU tolerance.

I would doublecheck your heatsink installation if I were you.

Those temps are bad. If the chip is getting that hot, you have a problem.
I have the 3rd eye board, and my chip @ 2.5 doesn't even get to 50c@ 100% load.
Try taking the case side off, and see if that helps.
If your psu does not have a lower fan, you should get one.
It is probably just that your sensor is being missread, so try running prime95 for a few hours, and see what your temps get to.
