Hello Gentlemen.

I have a Geminii S524 V.2 on my CPU, And the highes temperature on one of the cores i managed to record was 82C.

My CPU is an i7 4790K Overclocked from the stock 4Ghz to 4.5Ghz.

Highes temp - 82C
Idle temps - 41C-45C

My question is, the fan is hilariously big, and the temps aren't showing so, have i applied too much paste perhaps? or because it's a 4790K Overclocked it should be running at these temps?

Solution
I dont have that much experience overclocking either to be honest, but from reading forum posts I just lowered mine to 1.28 to start with, then 1.285, 1.29, 1.295 then finally 1.3v and my 4790k was stable at 4.65GHz.

For 4.5GHz, 1.29v should do it, depending on your silicone, maybe even lower like 1.27
Whats the voltage? Those temps a little higher than normal but not really anything to worry about, get a better cooler if you want better temps, the Geminii is a small heatsink and cant displace that much wattage.

So you're saying It's nothing to worry about? I don't leave my computer on for long periods, they are on for the longest 13h,
I believe i haven't messed with the voltage i let OC genie put me on 4.4 and i added the last 0.1. if i go higher my pc crashes.

Yea, using that auto OC software usually puts your voltages WAY too high (mine had it at 1.33v for a 4.6GHz OC), go turn that down and temps should drop a bit. If you want your temps even lower then pretty much just have to replace the cooler, if your case cant fit anything bigger then you should consider an AIO cooler or a Noctua cooler around the same size.

Cheers for the answer, What voltage would you recommend on a 4.5Ghz i7 4790k? i'm not new to overclocking but i never messed with the Voltage
