Hi,
I am finally thinking about upgrading my cpu after buying an LGA1700 motherboard with the cheapest CPU I could find on the market (i3-12100f). My requirements have changed a lot since when I first built my PC in 2022. I primarily play beamng drive and assetto corsa on my PC now, and I also do a good bit of programming as I study Computer Science. (sometimes running Linux VMs, compiling a lot of Java and C, still in early stages of my degree).
My main issue is beamng can be a bit choppy especially loading in, and having AI traffic can be a real struggle. Assetto Corsa is usually fine but loading into online servers can cause my CPU occupancy to be 100% and for the game to crash. Haven't had any issues with regards to my university work at all.
I just wanted some advice as to what CPU would be a good fit, my budget is to stay under 500 euros, of course cheaper is better but if it is really necessary that is the amount I am willing to spend.
Current setup:
i3-12100F
RTX 2060 OC
MSI MAG B660M MORTAR WIFI DDR4
Corsair TX-M 650
16gb of corsair vengeance LPX ddr4 ram, will upgrade to 32gb before I buy the cpu
I'm shipping to Ireland if that affects anything in the decision.
