[SOLVED] CPU Upgrade Help: Ryzen 5600 vs 5700x

So I currently have a ryzen 3 3100 and I'm looking to upgrade. My budget can cover the 5500, 5600, 5600x and 5700x.

I'm currently torn between the 5600 and the 5700x. the price difference is that the 5700x is 1.5 times more expensive.

I'm gonna be pairing it with a 3060 gpu.

So should i go for the 5600 or 5700x. I'm not just going to be gaming with it, also want faster install times but most importantly, since AM4 is at the end of it's life time, I want this build to last me a good while, maybe 3 years.

right other than the extra couple cores, you'd not know the difference.

more than likely, you'll not use all 12 threads of the 5600x so a few more is not worth 1.5x the price in my opinion

For today you may not see a difference. Getting the 5700x is if you are playing the longer game essentially where you know you want to keep the pc longer then you are banking on the extra cores for the future to some extent.
