Greetings,
I've only just gotten my feet wet at building and have slowly been upgrading my first rig. The problem is, even while running less-demanding games, TESIV: Oblivion, for example, i noticed that my GPU runs from 20-40% and my CPU from 98-100% using MSI Afterburner. It is the only other program i'm running at the time. It seems to be impacting my fps as it dips when CPU usage goes up. It's only running about 35C. Here are my specs:
Windows 10 64-bit
AMD Athlon II X2 250
4GB Dual-Channel DDR3 1333MHz
ASUSTeK 970 PRO GAMING/AURA
MSI R7 370 4GB
running the OS from a 60GB OCZ-Agility 2 SSD and the games from a 1TB seagate st3100
I am running the game at max settings; do I just need to get a newer CPU to handle the load?
Also would anyone recommend an AM3/AM3+ on the cheap (sub 100)?
