But in response to the original questions, a "amd 6100 but the better gtx 660" will outgame a "I7 3770 and a radeon 7750". However the simple addition of a $150 video card, say HD7850 1GB, would make the i7 system a killer system. There is nothing much you can do the with amd 6100 system without a MB/CPU swap.

The best gaming balance would be an I5 class CPU or even an I3 coupled with the gtx 660. The amd 6100 is just not a good gaming CPU. As you can see from this chart an amd 6100 is many steps below an i3. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

I agree, build your own. That way you get to choose your parts. If you really are too scared to do it, then go to a national computer company and they should charge $50 to $70 to build and install the OS. In Australia we have Umart and pccasegear, the cheapest prices on all parts but the biggest companies around. Find the same :)

short answer:
the 6100/660 would be better because gaming depends more on the gpu that cpu.

now since that is over; you don't need an i7 for gaming with since the hyper threading will be of no use and some folks report it even hinders gaming. and that 6100 is hinder the performance of the 660 in some games that utilize more of the cpu but are not heavily threaded - most games use no more than 2 thread with a handful using 3.

so i would like to recommend if you are going for a prebuilt then look for a decent priced i3 or i5 set up. yes, i said i3. regardless of what people may claim; a mid range card like a 7850 will be a great balance at playing BF3 multi player whereas a 7970 is load it too much. i had an i3 2120 for months and didn't have any problems gaming with a 550ti - the cpu never held me back, the gpu did.
