CPU-Z Reading Incorrectly?

Hello, I'm currently overclocking my 6700k and I'm perfectly stable at 4.5ghz and have VCore set to manual at 1.37

However CPU-Z is only showing Core Voltage at 1.248?

Is CPU-Z reading incorrectly or is that what my core voltage is actually at?

Any replies are greatly appreciated


UPDATE: CPU-Z is showing core voltage sitting at 1.368 when idling, but as soon as I start a P95 stress test it drops to 1.248, is that normal?

Yes, I would say dial down to 1.3v to try first of all, but with LLC enabled, test with Prime and CPU-z open, see if its still drooping, if it is, go into the bios again and tighten the LLC, you dont really want any droop at all.

Which motherboard do you have ?

Some label LLC as 1, 2, 3, 4,..........etc others label it as extreme, turbo, normal, low etc etc.


1.368v / 1.37v I would say CPU-z is reading your voltage fine, the reason it drops is called vdroop (voltage droop), you should have a setting in the bios somewhere called LLC (load line calibration) this stops vdroop from happening.

however, something to note, if you can pass prime95 when your voltage droops down to 1.25v, then you dont need 1.37v whilst idle.
 
That's the thing though, if I drop the voltage even just 0.005mv the overclock becomes unstable and won't last more then 10 minutes on Prime 95. And if I drop it more then 0.01-0.02 it becomes completely unstable and won't even boot

Also on my motherboard it doesn't let me play with LLC i can't take it off auto no matter what I try

Im pretty sure Gigabyte are the ones who label theres as High, Turbo, Extreme, Normal, Moderate, low etc etc, Set it to Turbo, that should be perfect to lock in your voltage there, extreme normally add's a little bit of extra voltage under extreme conditions like Prime95 stress test etc.

Doesnt actually say how to change it.
