I use the software "Core temp" to watch the temperature and I notice the part " Tj max :98 celsius degree"...I have an core i5 2500 and it says from intel that my cpu have a maximum temperature is 72 degree celsius..so I'm confuse that what number should I trust? Tj max or from the intel and can anyone explain for the what does "Tj max" mean?

Solution
The max tempreature you have to target is about 30-35C non gaming 40-60 gaming and max i would recomend 70C. Never push the limits of a CPU unless you are an overclocker and know what you doing. If you want to know the max temp you should trust intel becasue its the "mama" of the CPU. ;P

I used to have Core Temp and that was my question too :/ . I did a bit of a research and i found out that tj max is the cpu max temp used by intel some years ago. It was used to make the script for the over heating shutdown thing. Its a bit complex and calculates the max temp by seeing the current voltage and mhz of cpu. I think also its about 10C higher because its meant to shutdown pc 10C under jt max. If i am wrong in something plz correct me. I read it on forums and its very complex. I tried to sum it up and make it simpler.
