I don't know what you call "unconfortably warm" but if you'd ask my wife you'd find out that the the fact the tablet warms is its most important feature 😉

I haven't measured it but I'd guess around 45C.

Indeed, that would be unconfortable even for my wife.

I measured how hot the A 7 gets while sitting on my bed with a game running out of curiosity and it only got up to 36C, which I find noticeable but not to the point of bothering me. For comparison's sake, my 2012 N7 gets to 42C some of the time, which I do find uncomfortable. (How hot the N7's SoC area becomes under the same load as far as I can tell is inconsistent, something is intermittently messing up its power efficiency.)
