Hi,
This current build has been somewhat of a nightmare. After all the parts were in, I wouldn't get any visuals upon boot, not even a BIOS. The LED on the motherboard would simply flick between CPU and DRAM. I searched for solutions online and most folks recommended checking each part individually, swapping them out, etc. Upon inspecting the CPU I noticed the outside corner were bent up slightly, I found this odd, as I had not forced the chip in, or excerpted any pressure getting it in, and it couldn't been heat damage yet, as it had barely been powered up. It's my third build, so it's not like I was being rough with any of the parts, so I'm confused as to how this could have happened.
Online advice suggested gently bending the corners back so that they were flush with the motherboard, which seemed to go smoothly, except one corner that refused to fall flush, so excreted a little more pressure to get it in-line. But after trying a boot again unsuccessfully, I checked the CPU once more and noticed a tiny crack and one of connections seemed blackened somehow. I'm assuming might this may have come from the bending of the more problematic corner.
So as a last resort I'm here looking for any sort of advice, was the CPU always the problem? How could it have become warped? Is it salvageable? Is there any hopes of the warranty covering it at this point?
Thank you for your time!
