today out of nowhere, my computer gave me the dreaded "WINDOWS HAS ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR AND WILL RESTART AUTOMATICALLY IN 1 MINUTE" message... i got mad since i was in the middle of something (just gaming), but figured it was no big deal...
after my computer finally restarted, i continued doing what i was doing in the last session (more CS-GO lol)... but literally after only a minute, it gave me the error message again (and i've heard about these things getting stuck in a loop). this set me off. i was angry so i just held the power button down on my tower till it was forced to shut down... it would be cool if Windows didn't force a restart no matter what you're doing... but hey, i guess Microsoft doesn't care about things like that...
i waited about an hour or two to calm down before i turned it back on... after logging back in and waiting for every startup application to finish, i tried opening up Google Chrome, but my left mouse button wouldn't process... i tried my right mouse button. same problem... i could move my cursor wherever i wanted on the screen, but i just couldn't click...
i restarted my computer and tried again... this time, i could click on things as my computer was still starting up... but as soon as my mouse drivers were loaded (i could tell when this happened because the default DPI is much higher than my preferred settings, which take a few minutes to load for some reason), i stopped being able to click on things...
i restarted and tried again... same problem... i unplugged and plugged my mouse in several times to several different ports, but nothing helped...
and now here i am...
i'm running Windows 8.1 and my mouse is a Logitech G502 Proteus Core.
