Creating A Home VPN

So recently I've been using mobile VPNs but I am getting tired of the connection issues and data limits. (I really don't wanna buy a VPN when the only time I would use it is when I am at school) I am wondering how I set up a home VPN which I can connect to from my android device.

There are many option but first you need some type of equipment in your house to provide the same function as the vpn services you are using.

There are a number of routers that have a feature called vpn server that you can use. You can also leave a pc running to act as a vpn server. There are a number of software programs. Most people use openvpn but you can also use software called hamachi that a lot of people use.

You need to spend some time reading the information on these and decide which would be easiest for you.

Be aware this in no way reduces any data limits you have on your cell plan or fix any issues with poor cell coverage. This is purely a VPN you run yourself rather than using commercial ones.
