Hello, Is it possible to burn a recovery disc for an Acer Aspire 5515 Notebook? This would be needed in the event of a hard drive failure.

IIRC you go into the e- recovery management and one of the options is to create a recovery disk.

to get into e-recovery management :

1 Click Start, and then All Programs
2 Click Acer, and then Acer eRecovery Management
3 You may be prompted to enter or create a password. This password will be required to use eRecovery in the future.

EDIT : Just looked it up and this is the procedure :

Open the Acer eRecovery Management program
Click the burn disk button at the bottom
Click the create factory default disk button
Put a blank DVD in the drive when prompted and follow the remaining on screen instructions
Please keep your recovery disk safe as if something happens to your computer (for example you change the hard disk drive) you can boot your computer using this disk and restore the computer to its original settings.
