Crossfire on Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3

Well,Ihave the Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 motherboard and it has one PCIE x16 slot and a PCIE x4 slot for graphics cards.Can I do crossfire on it?

You can only Crossfire certain cards together. With this board, it's fairly obvious which slots to place GPUs into, but first time builders may get confused if they don't read the manual or look at the GPU pins.

About the first,I know which slots I should place the graphics cards to.And I can crossfire only cards with the same architecture,right?I have a Gigabyte R9 280 and I want to crossfire it with a Sapphire HD 7950.They are both GCN 1.1 Tahiti PRO2,so I can,right?
