The Problem:
The issue is a common one online, but I referenced about 20 different forums with no success. I get the following error in CCC 14.12, when trying to enable CrossFireX, I get the following:
"The AMD CrossFireX internal bridge interconnects linking your graphics cards together are not properly attached. Both bridge interconnects must be attached."
The CrossFireX enable option is greyed out.
Information:
MB: GA-990FXA-UD3 (Rev 4.0) (Firmware 2)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1866 G.Skill
CPU: AMD FX-8350
PSU: Corsair HX750i
VC1: Gigabyte GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-Bit
VC2: Gigabyte GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-Bit
HDD: Intel SSD 180 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 (Legacy)
Card 1, via GPU-Z:
Card 2, via GPU-Z:
Both cards are recognized in device manager, and in all places except for HWMonitor, which only shows one card.
Under hardware in CCC one card is shown as the primary adapter, one is shown as a disabled adapter.
What I have Tried:
I have tried further methods, but that is what comes to mind at the moment.

What I have Tried:
- People have mentioned similar GIGABYTE motherboards with a Turbo USB 3.0 feature that interferes with crossfire. I do not have this option in my BIOS.
- I have tried moving the CrossFire cable off the interconnects (By about 1mm), fully connected, and with the cable interconnects switched. None have worked
- I have bought a new XFX CrossFire cable, that did not work either.
- I have uninstalled graphics drivers and CCC and reinstalled them. I may have done it in an incorrect order through with respect of then installing the new card physically into the mobo.
I have tried further methods, but that is what comes to mind at the moment.
