I am looking at using a CRT HDTV for my monitor. I have found a nice 34 inch Panasonic, and I was wondering if it is a good idea to use it as a gaming/computing monitor, as well as a regular TV viewing monitor.

The model of the TV is CT34WX54, and I have read tons of great reviews on it, but none pertaining to using the DVI interface in order to perform personal computing. Any Thoughts on this? Thank you.

I was considering a CRT widescreen a few years back, it used a VGA input. The usual warning "not for use with PC" simply meant it only supported 30/60MHz refresh.

I'm not certain what you'll have to do to adjust the DVI input correctly, but it should work fine if you can set the correct resolution.

The thing supports 720p, correct? Because 1280x720 would probably work perfectly on it. On the other hand, interlaced resolutions could be a problem.
