Question Crucial SSD Giving me 240mbps speed

Yesterday I purchased a Sata Crucial BX500 2.5inch 6Gbs SSD (company claims speed 500mbps) and installed Windows 10 64bit and drivers and antivirus but today when I checked the speed through Crystal Disk Mark 8 I got the speed as 240mbps read and write speed
Is this Normal
My PC configuration
AMD FX 6300 6 core processor
AMD Radeon RX 580
16gb Crucial Ram
But the motherboard is kind a old
Asrock 960gc-gs fx which has 3Gbps sata speed but
SSD says 6Gbps speed

Your motherboard SATA ports are SATA2 (3Gbps). This limits speed of your SSD.
Although SSD is SATA3 (6Gbps) on your motherboard it will work at 3Gbps speed. This is ~ 250MB/s on sequential transfers.

So yes - this is normal.
