You mean "crypto prices plummet after Musk's tweet". That is what's going on.
Irrespective, good news for all, including protecting these gambling idiots and perhaps quieten down the usual, associated anti-government/establishment trolls.
Clearly, world currencies will obviously keep changing. Unregulated, grossly unprotected and environmentally damaging formats - where hiding criminal activity is the primary use - are not the way...!!

I certainly won't want to get any of these used mining cards, especially when there is no warranty. Given the supply situation now, a lot of these cards were purchased overseas and may not have warranty that one can easily claim. And because the VRAM on these cards are likely not just overworked, but overheating, so I don't even know manufacturers will honor the warranty.

A lot of people will feel that way > Used GPU prices will go even lower, as sellers respond in order to meet the market sentiment > the price will reach the point that the market will say, “Eh. I’ll risk it.”

Interesting.. As if there aren't other options/loopholes? Either way, this is beneficial to PC enthusiasts/gamers/content creators.. Look forward to prices dropping a few %. Especially with the 3080ti on the way.

You know prices dropping means more money for the miners, right....
Shhh... Let them live in their alternate reality where they think miners will sell cards that are still very profitable. The current Ethereum price is where it was only a month ago, and no one was predicting a GPU sell off then. On January 1st of this year the price was about $730. It's currently just under $3000. The price is going to have to drop a whole lot more before we see any affect on the GPU market. The only hope right now is Ethereum's claim it is moving to proof of stake within a few months.

USD is still by far the most-used currency for criminal activity. It's easy to hide even with fiat currencies.
