Backpack looks cool, but I don't think any of this is worth $150. Maybe if it was StarCraft stuff but Crysis is not a memorable enough franchise yet to be spending that kind of dough on IMO.

Since they had to pay for the design rights, they just made up their own weapon. This weapon doesnt really exist in reality but has the features of a SCAR.

The news wasn't official back then. This update is fresh from EA at GamesCom. Also, at the time, the information based on the leak had the price at $200. now the official announcement puts it at $150.

So they have special features in the more expensive versions that will give you a competitive advantage over other players (additional starting XP presumably for every time you play, etc). That is lame, you shouldn't have to pay additional money just to compete. Bad precedent here.
