That is not a SCAR...

Backpack looks cool, but I don't think any of this is worth $150. Maybe if it was StarCraft stuff :) but Crysis is not a memorable enough franchise yet to be spending that kind of dough on IMO.

[citation][nom]sliem[/nom]I don't know... $150... maybe if it was $80...[/citation]

Nah, it's still a game... maybe if it was $3.50

[citation][nom]Gin Fushicho[/nom]I think I'd feel better unlocking the stuff myself, unless that statue is made of expensive resin[/citation]
Not even if it was made from solid diamond, platinum plated and personally signed by Leonardo Da Vinci in radioactive gold dust.

[citation][nom]crazybaldhead[/nom]Yep. Looks more like an H&K G36.[/citation]

Since they had to pay for the design rights, they just made up their own weapon. This weapon doesnt really exist in reality but has the features of a SCAR.

This reads too much like a press release. "EA and Crytek also announced a closed multiplayer beta for Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system starting this fall." Xbox 360(R) videogame and entertainment systems? Really?

Real people call it an Xbox. Professional people call it an Xbox 360. What an oddly super-formal choice of words.

Even though it wasn't noted...I would bet that none of these editions will be available for the PC *maybe the Limited*...leaving us shafted and still paying $60 for the game.

[citation][nom]wiinippongamer[/nom]i read the exact same news here on tom's about a month ago[/citation]
[citation][nom]scione[/nom]Im having dejavu, waasnt this announced a while ago?[/citation]
You guys are vaguely remembering this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/crysis-2-crysis-special-edition-nanosuit,10851.html

The news wasn't official back then. This update is fresh from EA at GamesCom. Also, at the time, the information based on the leak had the price at $200. now the official announcement puts it at $150.

So they have special features in the more expensive versions that will give you a competitive advantage over other players (additional starting XP presumably for every time you play, etc). That is lame, you shouldn't have to pay additional money just to compete. Bad precedent here.
